This site is introduces Hugh Hunter the writer who has completed his first novel after more than thirty years in the trenches of academe. My first novel, War Dance, took portions of nine years to research and write. It is a fast moving historical novel of World War II, covering those last desperate months of peace. It is 1941 and America and Japan are preparing for war. This first of two novels traces an eclectic cast of characters through these last bleak months of peace.
